VAULT Construction Trust Network

Community-led / unaffiliated unless verified.

VAULT Construction Trust Network is a community-led effort exploring AI-powered construction document vaults, tamper-evident proof records, and chain-of-custody infrastructure for real-world construction, warranty, permit, service, and property documentation.

This repository is not presented as the official Vault AI project and does not claim approval, partnership, ownership, or control by the original Vault AI team unless that is verified in writing later.

Plain-English mission

Construction records are scattered across emails, phones, contractor portals, file cabinets, text messages, and photo galleries. When a homeowner sells a property, files an insurance claim, requests warranty service, or disputes project history, the paperwork is often incomplete or hard to trust.

We are exploring a practical vault that can:

  • organize construction documents and job photos,
  • summarize records with AI,
  • flag missing or incomplete paperwork,
  • preserve project history,
  • create tamper-evident proof records,
  • and eventually support a verifiable reputation trail for contractors, homeowners, and property records.

The goal is useful trust infrastructure — not hype.

First use case: Construction Document Vault

The first practical product should focus on organizing and verifying project records such as:

  • contracts
  • proposals
  • permits
  • inspection records
  • warranties
  • invoices
  • receipts
  • change orders
  • lien waivers
  • job photos
  • completion photos
  • service notes
  • insurance/restoration records

The MVP should help a homeowner or contractor answer:

“What was done, when was it done, who did it, what documents prove it, and what is missing?”

Product-first roadmap

We are intentionally approaching this in layers:

  1. Useful product — AI-organized construction document vault
  2. Proof layer — tamper-evident hashes, timestamps, and chain-of-custody metadata
  3. Open documentation — public roadmap, risks, contribution process, and attribution
  4. Token utility research — only after real product and trust foundations exist

We will not lead with token price, speculation, or hype.

Original Vault AI attribution

This effort was inspired by the original Vault AI / OP Vault document-intelligence concept and open-source repository:

If any original Vault AI / OP Vault code is copied, modified, forked, or distributed here, the original MIT license and copyright notice must remain included.

See:

Non-affiliation statement

We attempted to identify and contact the original Vault AI team through available public channels. Based on current notes:

  • the original GitHub repository exists and is MIT licensed,
  • the original app/docs exist but appear stale or not actively maintained,
  • the Discord invite appears invalid or inaccessible,
  • X/Twitter direct messaging appears unavailable/shut off,
  • email outreach was attempted through the contact address identified in public materials,
  • no verified cooperation or approval has been received yet.

Until verified otherwise, this repository should be described only as:

A community-led, unaffiliated effort inspired by the original Vault AI / OP Vault document-intelligence concept.

What this is not

This is not:

  • an official announcement from the original Vault AI team,
  • a claim of ownership over the original Vault AI brand, website, social accounts, or token,
  • investment advice,
  • legal advice,
  • a promise of token utility,
  • a promise of token value, liquidity, profit, or returns,
  • a pump group,
  • a place to post private customer records.

Near-term MVP

The first useful demo should be simple and credible:

  • create a project record,
  • upload a construction document or photo,
  • classify the document type,
  • summarize the document in plain English,
  • flag missing or incomplete records,
  • generate a project timeline,
  • create a document hash for proof-of-integrity,
  • keep private documents off-chain,
  • show proof metadata without exposing customer data.

See docs/mvp-spec.md.

Repository status

Early planning and documentation phase.

No production system, customer document vault, wallet integration, treasury system, or token utility mechanism should be assumed from this repository unless specifically documented in future releases.
