Plutonium Setup

Flatpak Steam

flatpak install -y flathub com.github.tchx84.Flatseal com.valvesoftware.Steam
  1. Open Steam
  2. Click Steam
  3. Click Settings
  4. Click Storage
  5. Click the drop down menu
  6. Click Add Drive
  7. Add ~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/Steam instead of ~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/.local/share/Steam
  8. Rename this newly created drive and make default

Plutonium-Supported COD Game

  1. Go to Library
  2. Install your Plutonium-supported COD game
  3. Right-click your Plutonium-supported COD game
  4. Click Properties...
  5. Click Compatibility
  6. Check Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool
  7. Select Proton Experimental

Plutonium

  1. Download Plutonium
  2. Navigate to ~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/Steam/steamapps/common
  3. Create a folder called Plutonium
  4. Move plutonium.exe into Plutonium
  5. Open Steam
  6. Go to Library
  7. Click Add a Game
  8. Click Add a Non-Steam Game...
  9. Click Browse...
  10. Select plutonium.exe from ~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/Steam/steamapps/common/Plutonium
  11. Right-click Plutonium
  12. Click Properties...
  13. Click Compatibility
  14. Check Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool
  15. Select Proton Experimental
  16. Launch Plutonium

For every Plutonium-supported COD game, use

echo "Z:${PWD//\//\\}"

to obtain the necessary Windows-style path Plutonium requires.

Optional: Controller Support

  1. Go to Library
  2. Click Plutonium
  3. Click the controller icon
  4. Click Disable Steam Input
