"Something went wrong" is displayed while trying to open snap://snap_name?channel=non_latest_track #1982

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues and found none matching what I'm reporting.

Bug Description

As per reproducion steps below, App Center is unable to open links provided by snapcraft.io that points to non-latest tracks. We get:

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Go to https://snapcraft.io/gimp
  2. Open channel dropdown
  3. Hover "preview/stable" then click on "Install >"
  4. Click on "View in Desktop Store" (it corresponds to snap://gimp?channel=preview/stable)

Expected behavior

App page should open with preview/stable selected:
