Right now, networking is served from the host via the virtual network interface (with work underway to move to virtio).
It'd be convenient if the x280 complexes could independently network between themselves, without host involvement. I.e. either a virtual switch type setup, or point-to-point virtual network interfaces similar to the host-facing one.
