Dumb question but does anyone know if the error message is only when the model is offline? Mine seems to continue to record streams despite giving the above error for offline rooms. I am not sure at all if it is working for some or all models.

That's my impression too. I have been switching between the 2,00 and 2.03 versions a bit and the older version still works quite good too (though both versions don't seem to work for all active streams..)

So the question is why do some models record fine and some not? Does anyone know if there is a pattern for which rooms work fine, do the same models always record fine? and the ones that don't work, do they never work? Or is it random? Could it be linked to country they are streaming from? Or times of day?

So far i haven't found a logical explanation. A stream that recorded without problems yesterday didn't start today.
Also tried a completely different recording utility and that kept saying that the stream is 'off' and then suddenly changed into 'Online' for a few seconds and now Teacat 2.00 woke up and started recording..
Looks like a brief pause in the protection that opens up the stream or so

It does still record for me, but it might not catch starts or resume after Prive/Away/Hidden as fast as before. I would assume the less models are you record the more forgiving cloudfare will be.

For me, it isn't recording anything, but it's only happening on this app. StreaMonitor is working well.

Number of models might be triggering cloudflare is interesting. I wonder is it actually the number of models multiplied by how often the software checks if model is online. Can we increase the success rate by reducing the frequency for checking if the model is online? Saying making it check every 5 mins instead of every minute? This could be done through the launch parameter --interval value 5. Obviously not an ideal solution as who wants to miss out on up to 5 mins of possible valuable content, but we might get more than we are currently getting.

So I just did a radical reduction in the number of channels recorded and now the error is gone. So I have a thought, is it blocking on the basis of the token being reused too many times too quickly for each time it checks. If so can it be implemented, to have multiple different tokens, and use each token for say 5 steams?

I also tried, but in my case the error is still there. How many channels did you test ?

I went down to 5, but I think it will handle more than that. I am still getting no errors on all when recording 5 channels. Bear in mind, not all of the 5 channels were online at the same time, they are just ones being monitored.

Have reduced to 8 channels and 6 of them started without problems but the other 2 were blocked.
Deleted a few more from the working channels so that the total is now 5 streams, but this had no effect on the 2 blocked channels, so there must something different in those 2 streams
(my recording settings are all the same and all channels are offline, so that can't be it)

I was using old versiom of streamlink before they removed Adult plugins for recording, with custom scripts to make it run and load. 1 Minutes for rechecking was triggering the cloudfare also, but having streams spaced 15s between each other and checking every 5 minutes resulted in 0 cloudfare blocks for years... I was not able to transfer that version to anywhere else from old server tho.
Something like this would be usefull for the dvr. Do not check at same time, space out stream starts.
