I added shell version 48 and version 48 to the .json file. Works now. Not really a bug.

I am on Fedora 41 and GNOME 47.4. The OpenWeather Refined version reports 18(139).

The app stopped working a few days ago (before 2025-03-22).

All I see is the default reload icon and no data at all. I tried different weather providers with no change. I also tried enabling/disabling (and the obvious reboots etc.)

I am on Ubuntu 24.04 and GNOME 46.0

The app stopped working a few days ago (since 2025-03-20).

It presents this message:

OpenWeather Refined too many requests.
Povider OpenWeatherMap has too many users.
Try switch weather providers in settings.

I worked with this again tonight.

As @andrelbd1 noted and I noted above, the OpenWeather Refined stopped working suddenly the week of 2025-03-22.

POSSIBLE WORKAROUND

I was able to get something working tonight. However, the solution (it has only been working a few minutes) was using and (for me) re-entering the OpenWeather API.

1. Obtain an API Key from https://openweathermap.org/ .
2. Go to the settings of OpenWeather Refined. ( I click the top bar OpenWeather area and settings or use the Gnome Extensions App or Gnome Extensions Manager.)
3. In the SETTINGS...GENERAL tab, scroll down to Weather Provider (near the bottom for me). Select OpenWeather.
4. In the SETTINGS...GENERAL tab and just below the selection box for the weather provider, select Use Custom API Key and then enter the API key in the text box below Personal API Key.
5. I also scrolled up and set the refresh interval to 15 minutes (the free OpenWeather API key limits ty 1000 requests per day so I set four updates per hour to stay well below that total.)

In a few seconds, the OpenWeather Refined App started displaying the weather again on the top bar--for me.

I am still not sure why this suddenly stopped working. (Like this app and appreciate it. Just odd.)

@ganakee: FYI, there is a bug in the code that sometimes clears an API Key. It might be why you had to re-enter it. I submitted a fix: #92
