This repository contains an early research prototype exploring a fundamental hypothesis:
Will autonomous enterprises require systems of record for decisions, just as they require systems of record for customers, transactions, work, and data?
The prototype is designed to validate product hypotheses, user workflows, and architectural concepts.
It is not the production implementation of EDI.
The production platform is being developed separately.
Organizations already have systems of record for:
- Customers (CRM)
- Transactions (ERP)
- Work (Project Management)
- Data (Data Platforms)
But they generally do not have a system of record for one of their most valuable assets:
Enterprise Decisions
As organizations adopt AI, autonomous workflows, and intelligent agents, decision-making becomes increasingly distributed across humans and machines.
Yet organizations still struggle to answer questions such as:
- Why was this decision made?
- What evidence supported it?
- Which assumptions proved correct?
- Which assumptions failed?
- Who approved it?
- What alternatives were considered?
- What actually happened?
- What should future teams learn?
Without preserving decision context, organizations repeatedly solve the same problems, lose institutional knowledge, and repeat avoidable mistakes.
The central hypothesis behind EDI is:
Enterprise decisions deserve the same first-class infrastructure that organizations already provide for customers, transactions, work, and data.
The current prototype explores Organizational Decision Memory.

EDI explores whether enterprise intelligence should be built upon persistent decision provenance rather than isolated AI interactions.
This repository represents an early research prototype.

It should not be considered production software.
