I have setup M5STACK ATOM Lite to control my Samsung HAVC.
I also have Home Assistant climate card to control my HVAC like below with "Power," "Cool," "Heat" and "Fan only".
Here, when I press the "Heat" button (Fan mode is "LOW" at this moment), the HVAC mode changes to heat without any problem (see the pic below).
However, the fan mode is also changed to "Auto" automatically like below.
In this state, when I press the Fan only button, the HVAC mode changes back to Fan only and the fan mode also changes back to "LOW."
Is there any way to make the fan mode survive the HVAC mode change? I want to the fan mode to stay at "LOW" (or whatever the fan mode it was in) when I change the HVAC mode.
Fan mode not surviving HVAC mode change causes some problems in automation..requires additional action to change the Fan mode in every automation whenever an action causes HVAC mode to change.
If it is not possible to keep the fan mode to stay at "LOW" (or whatever the fan mode it was in), is there a way to get rid of fan mode "Auto" by making changes to yaml file? (I do not need fan mode "Auto" at all)
I also have Samsung Smartthings add-on in home assistant to control the very same HVAC. Smartthings add-on does not have this problem. That is, when I use climate card provided by the Smartthings add-on to control the HVAC mode, Fan mode survives HVAC mode change.
