Hello! Thank you for this incredibly useful repository. I am writing my economics thesis and stumbled on your Tradewar-Tracker. The question I am trying to answer is as follows(my thesis): Who bore the brunt of the economic impact of tariffs during the US-China trade war: U.S. producers or Chinese exporters, as measured by changes in trade volume and prices.
For my data, I will look into the 2017–2021 (pre-trade war, escalation phase, and post-tariff adjustments) time period. Ideally, I'll use a Panel dataset covering multiple industries and time periods by measuring monthly trade volume and price data at the product category level. My methodology is difference-in-differences approach comparing tariffed vs. non-tariffed goods before and after tariff implementation.
I have U.S. Tariffs data on Chinese Goods, Trade Volume Data, and Price Data. My question is, in your repository, do you have datasets regarding Chinese Retaliatory Tariffs?
Please let me know if I should take anything else into consideration while conducting this project.
