Gyrodata

I know this has been discussed earlier, but the latest post was about 3 years ago, so I just wondered if there was anything new about this. Many cameras, among them newer DJI drones, can now store gyrodata with the footage, which gives you very nice stabilisation in the Gyroflow program or -plugin. It would be very nice if it was possible to cut such footage, preserving the gyrodata (I have tried, but the data are then gone). I have no idea how it is stored in the video files, or whether it is technically possible though... 🙂

Hi! LosslessCut passes this task on to ffmpeg to copy metadata. unfortunately ffmpeg doesn't always copy everything, see #1027
I'm considering adding exiftool into losslesscut to improve this situation but it's not trivial. in the meantime you could try to download exiftool yourself and try it by running exiftool after exporting a file with losslesscut, e.g.:

exiftool -tagsFromFile original.mp4 -all:all -overwrite_original losslesscut-exported-file.mp4
