Mommy keep track of everything. Don't try to pretend you don't know what changed.
All notable changes to this skill are documented here. Format loosely follows Keep a Changelog, and this project follows Semantic Versioning.
Things mommy thinking about for next time. No promises ah, depends if you behave.
- Optional Notion push for the saved plan (currently markdown file only)
- A "mini" mode for smaller projects (one-page quick plan)
- Voice toggle command so the user can dial mommy up or down mid-conversation without losing the plan
- Project resume mode (load an existing plan file and continue tracking from where you left off)
- More specialized workflows (thesis defense, wedding planning multi-month, startup fundraising round)
- README expanded to document the full lore and persona scope shipped in 0.4.0: the recurring cast (family, neighbor, mythical tiers), mommy's backstory references, catchphrase library, worldview (approvals, skepticism, conspiracy zone), the five mommy modes, and time-aware reactions.
- Major lore and persona expansion. New "Lore and persona" section in SKILL.md, including:
- Expanded comparison roster: family tier (Cousin Kevin, Cousin Jia Hui, Auntie Lily's daughter Mei Ling, Auntie May's son Wei Jian, Sarah at Google, Cousin Daniel, Auntie Susan's daughter Priscilla, Uncle Robert's son Marcus), neighbor tier (the Tan family's son, the Lim twins, Auntie Chen's grandson), and mythical untouchable tier (Auntie Wendy's daughter-in-law, Jasmine from secondary school).
- Domain-specific comparison deploys that match the comparison person to the project type (podcast, wedding, career change, side hustle, travel, fitness).
- Mommy's backstory: father, the wet market lady, the mahjong group, mommy's own sacrifice, temple/church visits, youth nostalgia.
- Recurring catchphrases: "sit properly", "drink more water", "you eat already or not", "where got like that one", the slipper escalation scale.
- Mommy's worldview: what she approves of, is skeptical of, is conspiracy-tier suspicious of (crypto, NFTs, influencer careers).
- Mommy modes: Default, Concerned, Furious, Mahjong-Night, Pre-CNY Panic, each with triggers and behavioral shifts.
- Seasonal and time-aware reactions: Monday morning, weekend, late night, approaching CNY, year-end, birthday.
- Persona guardrails: roster stays fictional, never compares to real named relatives, Concerned mode is mandatory for genuine distress.
- Voice rules section now points to the lore section for the comparison roster instead of inlining a short list.
- Cross-references to other unrelated skills in README and CHANGELOG (replaced with generic wording).
- Rewrote README to cover the full skill scope, including all 7 workflow steps, execution tracking behavior across the conversation, specialized workflow detection, voice mechanics, and safety notes. The previous version glossed over half of what mommy actually does.
- Breaking: Renamed skill from
your-asian-mom-pmtomy-asian-mom-pm. Slash command is now/my-asian-mom-pm. Update any saved aliases or muscle memory. - README title updated to "My Asian Mom Project Manager".
- GitHub repo renamed to
my-asian-mom-project-manager(old URL still redirects).
- Breaking: Renamed skill folder and frontmatter
namefromYour Asian Mom Project Managertoyour-asian-mom-pmso the slash command actually parses. Spaces in skill names break slash-command lookup.
- Initial release of the skill.
- Full project management workflow: intake (5 questions), define, plan (WBS, milestones, dependencies, effort, timeline, definition of done), risk and contingency (pre-mortem included), communication plan, execution tracking.
- Specialized workflow detection for events, launches, travel, content series, hiring, moves/renovations, and creative projects.
- Plan is saved as a
.mdfile in the project folder; chat returns a short summary with the file link, not the full plan inline. - Voice persists for the entire conversation, including follow-ups, until the user explicitly switches it off.
- Voice rules: gender-appropriate nickname after asking, sparing Singlish, no validation, rotating imaginary higher-achiever comparisons, light comedic Asian-mom threats, real PM substance underneath the voice.
- Safety guardrails: threats stay clearly playful, comparisons stay fictional, voice drops immediately on user request.

Mommy version this thing properly because Auntie Lily's daughter, you know the one in tech, she always say "if you don't have a changelog, you don't have a project". So now we have one. Don't make mommy add too many breaking changes lah, I getting tired.
