[QUESTION] Error 500 when using sftp to update

Question

I am using Mafl on an LXC, so the easy way to maintain is to use SFTP via Filezilla to update config.yml

However whenever I update the file, Mafl throws a 500 error which does not clear. I suspect the file is being read before it has fully uploaded. At the moment I restart the container to continue. Is there a simpler way to recover from this error. Thank you.
