7. How to add a new agent · 如何新增 agent
Pick the seat. Decide tier (leadership / specialist / support) and which group head it reports to. If you cannot pick one, the seat does not yet exist — talk to the partner first.
Create the file. agents/<group>/<subgroup>/<seat-name>.md. Filename is the canonical name used by the orchestrator.
Fill the frontmatter. Copy from a sibling and edit. Required fields:

Write the four required sections. Role / Responsibilities / Skills this agent owns / Escalates when / Does NOT do. Be specific. Refuse temptation to make a seat "general purpose" — the orchestrator routes badly when scope is fuzzy.
Register the agent. Add the agent name to the relevant approval chain(s) in config/approval_chains.example.yaml. If the agent introduces a new hard gate, add it to hard_gates: and to DISCLAIMER.md § High-Risk.
Update this catalog. Add a row to the table for the matching practice area. Update the headcount in the file header.
Add a sandbox fixture if needed. If the seat consumes a new connector, drop a fixture under sandbox/fixtures/connectors/<name>/ so --sandbox keeps working.
PR. Open a PR titled agent(<group>): add <seat-name>. CI runs scripts/lint-agents.py to check the frontmatter and scripts/check-escalation-graph.py to ensure your escalates_to resolves.
