There's a critical bug in ver. 1.6.4:
Go to Options -> Music -> allow FluidSynth music set only, disable Adlib and MIDI.
After several changes from the regular music to battle tracks, the game and the entire Windows system begin to run critically slowly.
Only reboot helps.
It would be better to test this on longer missions (starting with the 3rd campaign scenario) to assess the cumulative effect.
This is caused by FluidSynth 2.4.0 lib shipped with Dune Dynasty 1.6.4.
You need to remove FluidSynth 2.4.0 and all it's dll dependencies, and add, for example, fluidsynth-v2.5.6-win10-x64-cpp11.
FluidSynth devs fixed several memleaks in later versions.
I've already tested it, fluidsynth-v2.5.6-win10-x64-cpp11 works great, and game build size becomes lighter (no FluidSynth GLib dependencies in cpp11 version).
