Decoding Failure

long time user but not super good at the server-side stuff.
recent issue occurs on hitting the source refresh button, not consistantly getting new content
started happening with .19 and still happening after updating to .20
often the dates and times are mixed up. probably something i did behind the scenes, but any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for reporting.

1. What web browser do you use?
2. What web server do you use?
3. Are you saying it succeeds sometimes?
4. Can you open your web browser’s developer tools, switch to Network pane next time you update and check the response contents for GET /update request?
5. Could you clarify how the dates and times are mixed up? Though that is probably unrelated.

the post times are weird like some show as minutes, they seem to be out of proper chonological order

oh and forgot to add that i got it to refresh but it took 3 days trying

Hmm, I wonder if the server is timing out and the browser only receives partial data. At least that makes sense to me looking at the Firefox source code:

With many feeds, I would switch to updating by locally running php cliupdate.php using e.g. a cron job.

The minutes in the first half of the posts are negative. Likely caused by timezone mismatch as reported in #1447. You can work around it by setting date.timezone in your php.ini configuration to one matching your local timezone.

I really need to finish #1451.
