🏆 Willi-Mako Certification & Compliance Badges

Overview

The Willi-Mako Certification Program recognizes organizations and developers who demonstrate excellence in implementing German energy market communication standards.

🎖️ Certification Levels

🥉 Bronze: Willi-Mako Verified

Requirements:

  • ✅ Successfully deployed Willi-Mako Client in production
  • ✅ Processing at least 100 EDIFACT messages/month
  • ✅ Passed compliance validation for at least one message type (UTILMD, MSCONS, ORDERS, PRICAT, or INVOIC)
  • ✅ No critical security issues in last 3 months

Requirements:

  • ✅ All Bronze requirements
  • ✅ Processing at least 1,000 EDIFACT messages/month
  • ✅ Implemented at least 3 different message types
  • ✅ Contributed at least 1 use case or integration guide
  • ✅ 95%+ message validation success rate
  • ✅ Compliance with BDEW MaKo-Richtlinien

  • ✅ Implemented full market process automation (e.g., complete GPKE, WiM, or GeLi Gas workflow)
  • ✅ Contributed code, documentation, or examples to the project
  • ✅ 99%+ uptime for message processing
  • ✅ Advanced compliance: REMIT reporting, §14a EnWG, or smart meter integration

  • ✅ Mentoring other organizations in Willi-Mako adoption
  • ✅ Industry recognition (e.g., BNetzA compliance, VDE certification)

🎯 How to Get Certified

Step 1: Self-Assessment

Fill out the Certification Self-Assessment Form

Step 2: Documentation

Provide:

  • Production deployment details
  • Message volume statistics (anonymized)
  • Compliance validation reports
  • Use case description

Step 3: Validation

The Willi-Mako team will:

  • Review your submission
  • Verify technical implementation (optional code review)
  • Validate compliance claims
  • Issue certification (typically within 2 weeks)

Step 4: Maintenance

  • Annual re-certification required
  • Continuous compliance monitoring
  • Community contribution encouraged
