GrapheneOS/Android 17: device not connected #93

Description

@saalkinnaj

Describe the bug
With upgrading from Android 16 to 17 (GrapheneOS) and EnigmaDroid targeting SDK for Android 17, the app is not connecting to my STB anymore. I can add the device and activate it (check mark in front of it), but the connection fails with "Device not connected".

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install GrapheneOS with Android 17
  2. Install EnigmaDroid and grant network permission
  3. Add device in EnigmaDroid (by private IP address; no authentication) and activate it
  4. Go to TV, EPG, device info, or any other menu entry. Error: device not connected

Expected behavior
A connected device like before with Android 16.

Smartphone

  • Device: Google Pixel 9 Pro
  • OS: Android 17 (GrapheneOS Android 17 build 2026071501)
  • Version: EnigmaDroid 1.9.2

Additional context
WebIF via any browser is accessible.
After some research (I'm no Android developer), it might be that with Android 17 (or GrapheneOS?) the app needs to ask for permission on nearby devices. Maybe related: https://developer.android.com/privacy-and-security/local-network-permission
