How to recover from "error rendering component"

Once component rendered by FlexLayout crashes, FlexLayout shows error rendering component string. It seems to be unrecoverable. Is there any way to make FlexLayout re-mount the component to make it work without reloading whole application?

Looking at code, it's probably not possible if not using own custom ErrorBoundary in factory that would allow for this.
