In my case the Waveshare-ESP32-P4-86-Panel-ETH-2RO

The VA is already built into the new firmware with the local wake word "Alexa". However, there are currently a lot of false positives. I've added a threshold configuration to the web server, so you can tweak these parameters to reduce the false triggers. But as far as I understand, this is a general issue that everyone is facing on such devices right now, not just me. Just a couple of days ago, esp-sr version 2.5.0 was released, which might improve things. I haven't tested it yet because it adds an extra megabyte to the firmware, and it no longer fits on devices with 16MB of flash.
P.S. Note that the version currently available on the website is highly unstable. Cameras on this build might either fail to start at all or glitch during operation. Right now, I'm working on memory optimization and will try to release a stable build soon. But there is already too much crammed into the firmware, and memory tends to fragment and run out, which introduces certain challenges.

I will give it a try when I find some free time during renovation work.

It would be great when there is a possibility for custom wake words.

It would be nice if 2 wake words could be supported. I live in a dual language household and it would be nice to be able to use 2 languages.
