Current behavior
The participant import has different layout and usability issues.

Example: In the CSV preview, it is not clear and easy to see what effect reimporting the CSV will have on an existing dataset. Furthermore, there are various inaccuracies in this overview that create confusion rather than clarity when importing data. In addition, the preview is difficult to read and uses too little space on the screen.

To solve this and other problems, the participant import needs to be revised.

Wanted behavior
Below are mock-ups of what the new participant import should look like. Then a few comments.

Notes:

• Image 1: There is only one functional change here: It is no longer possible to adapt the CSV-specific encodings. This is done after importing the CSV. In addition, the first step is only a layout adjustment, which adjusts text and content elements or rearranges or removes them.
• After uploading the csv file, a new preview should apppear - see image 2. Important: The first 4 columns are fixed and can't be scrolled. Horizontal scrolling is only possible for content from column 'Aktiv'. This has the advantage that it is always clearly visible to which user the current content of a line belongs.
• CSV encodings: After uploading the csv, the data should be visible in a preview (image 3). At this point, it should now be possible to select the various csv options via the ‘CSV configurator’ menu and view them on-the-fly.
• New Icons in first column: For new icons should be added for different types of content. Green Icon - New participant. Yellow Icon - It indicates, that the user still exists in the meeting and an update will be done. Blue icon - It indicates, that the account is available in the instances and it will be referenced. Red icon - It shows a failure, that needs to be fixed to made an import possible.
• For yellow and red icon: If a value has changed, the value should be marked with the corresponding color. This is necessary to made it more easy to spot changes and failures.
• Footer: It would be great if the items in the footer were clickable and directly displayed a filtered list based on their labels. - Additionally, a note indicating the total number of accounts is needed before the items. Example: “Total participants”
• Figure 6: To better understand which content elements were successfully imported and which were not, additional symbols are needed as indicators. Import successful = green checkmark. Import failed = red X. The symbols should appear in the table to the right of the symbols in the first column, as well as in the dialog box to the right of the symbols.
• Error Messages: To enable users to work independently, clear documentation for errors is essential. It would be great if each cell containing an error had a message that clearly explains the problem. This could be done, for example, via tooltips that appear when hovering over the icons on the left side of the table. Additionally, the cells with errors are highlighted in red so that it’s immediately clear where an error exists. The notes should be available in the preview before importing, as well as in the dialog after importing, in case errors still occur. - Alternatively, we could also consider providing a written list of errors that can be copied.

Unclear context

• Content that cannot/may not be transferred during import: How do we deal with content that must not be overwritten? Keyword: Superadmin. In the current import, a minus is displayed for the respective attribute that is omitted. Something similar is also needed here.
• What should happen after import in step 6? Does the overlay closes and the list can be seen? Should the import be closed automatically? How does this interact with the bullet point for content that can't be overwritten?
• How do we handle failures, if a person has not the permission to change i.e. personal data of an account? - Possible solution: A red icon will a appear and the relevant columns will be marked as well in red. by hovering this values a tooltip will appear with an information about what went wrong.
• Progressbar: Is it possible to display a real progressbar with values?
