DEBUGGING THE DATA INTEGRITY CRISIS

IMMEDIATE DEBUGGING STEPS:

1. Add Console Logging to GitHub Service

Add this to backend/src/services/githubService.js in the getUserAnalysis function:

2. Add Frontend Debugging

Add this to frontend/src/pages/ResultsPageV2.jsx:

3. Check for Any Mock/Fallback Data

Search for any files that might contain mock data:

4. Clear Any Cache

If there's any caching mechanism:

5. Test with Fresh Data

Restart the backend server and test again:

npm run dev

EXPECTED FINDINGS:

1. Real GitHub API should return:

   • followers: 2
   • public_repos: 24
   • Actual star count from repos

2. If frontend shows different values:

   • There's cached data somewhere
   • There's fallback/mock data being used
   • There's a data transformation error

RUN THIS NOW:

Copy the debugging code into the respective files and restart your server. Check the browser console and terminal to see what REAL data is being returned vs what's being displayed.
