Interlock is an MCP runtime trust layer for AI agents. It detects material MCP tool drift after approval, including effective-permission expansion that static manifest comparison can miss, quarantines changed gateway-mediated calls before continued use, and emits hash-chained evidence.
This guide is intentionally conservative. Do not run multiple workers or multiple replicas with the default SQLite and in-memory rate-limit state.

Do before broad production rollout:
- shared database migration plan for high availability
- managed Postgres backups, restore testing, and migration review for customer environments
- admin SSO or a hardened admin auth layer
- backup and retention policy for audit logs
- load testing against the target agent/MCP traffic pattern
- support terms confirmed with the buyer
The default key store and audit database use SQLite. SQLite supports concurrent reads and one writer, but multiple Uvicorn workers or multiple pods can create lock contention and inconsistent in-memory rate limits.
