While 2023-2024 saw the rise language models in atomistic ML and AI for materials, 2025-2026 saw the rise of agentic AI in other fields, mostly in software engineering. More and more applications appear in atomistic ML as well. This should be reflected in this list.
Care should be taken from delimiting between the existant category Language Models. It could also be argued that agentic AI systems should be categorized under the existing category Language Models, and now new category is needed. Instead, a new label agentic could suffice. This could also help to distinguish between agentic systems that focus on language models and those that focus on other types of models.
