The nix-build works but when I tried compiling the example. ./result/bin/extopenscad ./example.scad outputs an stl that fstl cannot open.

If the example.scad contains only 2D objects, it can result in svg output (you can simply open the file to check), even tho the extension is .stl (not ideal!).

You can also try forcing the output format with -f stl, which in case of 2D only errors out with extopenscad: Unrecognized 2D format: STL.

For 3D sample, try Examples/example3.escad

I was looking for implicitcad or something along those lines.

I don't think there is much need for a flake then.
