Failing to install the bootloader on the latest release of Ubuntu Lomiri

Hello everyone,

I'm new to Linux, but I want to repurpose my Asus T100TAS (and also mod my Wii mini since apparentely it can be done only on Linux). So I decided to install Lubuntu, and it all went smoothly (even without running "ubiquity -b" and installing grub-efi-ia32). After trying Lubuntu for a while, I decided to switch to Ubuntu Lomiri for its native tablet mode and auto-rotation feature. I'm doing all the same things I did when I installed Lubuntu, but the installation crashes when it tries to install the bootloader, and I can't manage to install grub-efi-ia32 after the installation crashes. Could anyone help me? I can give more details if needed.

Hello,

Reboot on the installation media and reinstall the bootloader by chrooting into the new system installed on your T100. You may follow this section:

Basically, before knowing about ubiquity -b to skip the bootloader installation by the installer, we used to fix the bootloader by rebooting. Some old guides mention it, for example :
